We are so excited that you are interested in checking out our church. We know that visiting a new place can be a little scary and so we want to do everything to ease your concerns before you even pull into the parking lot.
First Baptist meets for worship every Sunday morning at 10:15am with Sunday School for all ages at 9:00am (College at 11:30am).
We offer live streaming of our services each Sunday here on our website, Facebook, and YouTube.

Worship & Sunday School
We have two Sunday Morning Worship Services at 10:15am:
Our Celebration Worship Service is a multi-generational service which meets in the Sanctuary. The music is led by our Celebration Choir and Orchestra and features a broad range of worship music from traditional hymns to contemporary worship music.
Our Summit Worship Service is a multi-generational service which meets in the gymnasium of our Christian Life Center (CLC). The music is led by our Summit Worship Band and features primarily contemporary worship music. The message is presented live via video from the Sanctuary.
Sunday School at 9:00am* - We view Sunday School as an integral part of getting involved at First Baptist. We offer classes for all ages and groups. Visit the Welcome Center, Information Desk or talk to a greeter or staff member for help finding the right class for you!
*Our College Ministry has a lunch and Bible Study each Sunday following Worship.
Location & Parking
First Baptist is located just a few blocks north of historic downtown Nacogdoches at 411 North Street.
Visitor parking spots are available in our main south parking lot (the big one). Look for one of our parking lot crew either walking the parking lot or driving around in golf carts if you need directions for where to park or which building entrance to use.
Once parked, volunteers are stationed at the main entrances to the church building and can direct you to where you need to go!
Our Welcome Center is located off of our south parking lot. You'll also find an elevator a short way inside that will give you access to all levels of our main building.
What can I expect?
- How long are the services?
Our services usually last a little over an hour. Services generally begin with 15-20 minutes of worship through music followed a message from our pastor, Dr. Noel Dear, that lasts 35-40 minutes. - What do people wear?
You will see people dressed in suits and ties, in dresses, jeans and polos, and shorts and t-shirts. Dress is not a concern here. We just want you here worshiping our God with us! - What about my children?
We offer a special worship time created for children 1st - 3rd grade to be free to worship like kids though music, Bible study, games and hands on activities! Children will be dismissed for Kids' Worship in the Children's Building during worship and will be picked up from the Children's Building following the service. What About Childcare and Nursery?
We have an incredible Children's Building that both kids and parents will love! Our nursery is available during most regular activities throughout the year for babies - kindergarten age and is staffed with screened, experienced, and caring workers and volunteers!
For the safety of our children, we offer a secure electronic check-in system. If you are visiting First Baptist for the first time, please plan to come a little early to register your child in the system. Registration is available for first-time guests at one of our Children's Building Welcome Desks and only takes a few minutes of your time!
